Dr. Numan Arafat

Dr. Numan Arafat, M.D. is a physician who is board certified in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. He graduated from Jordan University School of Medicine in 1987. In 1989, he completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Makased Hospital in Jerusalem and then completed Internal Medicine residency at Nassau University Medical Center SUNY Health Science Center in New York in 1993. He continued his educational endeavors in New York and completed his fellowship in Pulmonary Disease in 1995 at the University Hospital, SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn, New York and then in Critical Care in 1996 at the University Hospital, SUNY Health Science Center at Brookly, New York.

Dr. Arafat has been practicing in the Rio Grande Valley since 1997 and joined VIPS in 2017. Although Dr. Arafat is affiliated with VIPS and sees all hospital consults at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance, Mission Regional Medical Center, McAllen Medical Center and Solara. He currently holds memberships with ACCP, ATS, AMA and TMA.
